So, security measures were applied at each step of the software development life cycle for financial data security purposes. To achieve that, such tools as Snyk, Aqua Security, and others were used to perform vulnerability scans when new code was developed and to check that the code was employing best security practices. 

Of special importance was the simple containerization by Docker and orchestration by Kubernetes to make the deployment process efficient. This provided a mechanism by which consistent and efficient deployments could be carried out across all environments. 

Special monitoring tools such as ELK Stack and Datadog helped to track the application and system utilization and indicate that the application is highly available and experiences little to no downtime. 

Feedback loops for the users along with automated performance testing, let us improve these features and performance iteratively.
